"Ear Point" is the first single release by the "braem" project. Behind "braem" lies a long journey. For over two decades, braem (Bram Stadhouders) built an internationally acclaimed career exploring electric guitar, contemporary ensembles, improvisation, and new technologies, performing in more than fifty countries. Constant motion, reinvention, and expectation shaped that world. At a certain moment, however, another voice resurfaced. It was the voice of an older, more private impulse that had once been the reason to compose at all. After years of city life, a deliberate retreat followed. Time was spent in remote places, eventually leading to a small cabin in the woods. As the surroundings grew quieter, so did the mind. In that silence, the classical guitar of childhood returned. braem emerged there: not as a new direction, but as a remembering. Music formed without ambition or complexity, shaped instead by patience, intimacy, and attention. Slow, spacious pieces tracing a gentle line back to something essential. The sound that was there before noise, before urgency, before excess.
