SEANCES TRIO

“Textural, dynamic and raw — a modern take on the jazz guitar trio”

Bram Stadhouders | guitar
Nathan Wouters | double bass
Onno Govaert | drums

Dutch guitarist/composer Bram Stadhouders — returning to the raw energy of the electric guitar with original compositions for a brand-new "Seances trio" with Dutch Onno Govaert on drums and Belgian Nathan Wouters on bass. Expect explosive interplay, lyrical moments, and fearless improvisation.

Over the past two decades, Tilburg-based guitarist Bram Stadhouders has developed into a highly versatile musician with a distinctive style in which ambient soundscapes emerge from the interaction between guitar and electronics. His unique approach has earned him recognition in jazz, electronic music, and contemporary composition.

Now, Bram returns to the essence — the raw power of the classic guitar trio, viewed through a modern lens inspired by jazz rock and contemporary jazz. In this new project, the focus shifts back to pure guitar playing: soaring solos, dynamic interplay, and a more subtle role for electronics.

For this trio, Bram is joined by two exceptional musicians. Bram and Onno have been playing together since their teenage years and won the prestigious Young VIP Tour in 2014 as a duo. Onno is a key figure in the Amsterdam improvised music scene, performing with artists such as Michael Moore, Ab Baars, and Wilbert de Joode. Nathan Wouters, from Flanders, is known for his work with Jef Neve, Ruben Machtelinckx, and Hilmar Jensson. Together, they premiere a full set of original compositions — a blend of virtuosity, experimentation, and raw energy.
